story unfolds in a parallel universe, similar to our own, but
with a difference that would render what follows incomprehensible
to the uninformed... A woman has no rights, she is considered
a perverse and inferior creature. Every measure is taken to keep
her in a dependent state. Madoline lives in this universe and
has difficulty adapting to this rigor that seems to be worsening
day by day.
